Plan Study Program Point Thresholds

Summary

In this document, you will find the different thresholds for plan study score in terms of "points" achieved for ProKnow Achievement System (PAS). These will be updated after each plan study is closed and the specific thresholds are derived based on the study participation and population statistics.

Points System

The conventional point system for an international, public plan study is based on three ways to achieve points: 

  1. Performance Points
  2. Statistical Excellence Points
  3. Continual Improvement Points

Performance Points

These are awarded based on your plan submission during the data collection phase.

Criteria Points Awarded
Score ≥ TH3 8 Points
TH3 > Score ≥ TH2 4 Points
TH2 > Score ≥ TH1 2 Points
Score < TH1 1 Point

Statistical Excellence Points

These are awarded based on your plan submission during the data collection phase.

Criteria Points Awarded
Score ≥ POP10 2 Points (Extra)
POP10 > Score ≥ POP20 1 Point (Extra)

Continual Improvement Points

These are awarded based on plans scored after the data collection phase.

Criteria Points Awarded
High Score ≥ TH3 and you did not already achieve TH3 with your initial submission 2 Points
High Score ≥ TH2 and you did not already achieve TH2 with your initial submission 1 Point

2018 TROG: SRS Brain

Special Note: A few of the high scoring plans submitted to this study were of questionable practicality, evidenced by potentially unrealistic/high MU and number of treatment beams (IMRT or arc). Remember, the cardinal rule of plan studies is to only submit plans that you would deliver to a real patient. All submitted plans are included in the statistical analysis and population results, but individual high performers (announced at the TROG meeting, and listed elsewhere, on the "News" feed) may have some plans filtered out.
