What if the patient volume (and/or external contour) is truncated due to FOV?

If the planning imaging device's field-of-view (FOV) is smaller than the patient volume anywhere, it will cause truncation in the pixels' densities and impact the external contour.

If this occurs in the planning images for a plan study, then try to avoid dose through these regions as it will have a negative impact on the dose calculation accuracy.
